This above image, I created by  randomly selecting organic shapes using the lasso tool and painted in the selection at different opacitys. This layering eventually turned into this dude who needs a hair cut.  :)

So here's something new. A character warm up sketch. I have a ton of custom brushes that I don't necessarily use, and recently I've been starting to use only one brush for both sketching and painting. The sketch above is an example of that. I did mess with settings of the brush but I only choose one brush type. I think it adds a unique character to the overall look using one brush, plus with adjusting settings you can vary the look of the brush stroke, plus it takes less time to sketch.  It is important that I try and stay focused on the drawing rather than my brush!
