Animated Gif Yaalll!

This was done just last summer, eating lunch outside at one of the local pubs. Here is a progression of me sketching something starting with a quicky scribble a friend did in my sketchbook. This was made using GIFSHOP an app for the iphone.

10/20/11 book drawings.

Drawings in m sbook taken with my cell phone... Because I am shooting these with my phone they become distorted which is pretty nice. Some added processing in photoshop.

Not done yet.

These were both done while waiting around for my dance classes to start. (Side note: I teach hip hop dance at the Element Dance Studio here in Hillsboro, OR). I love popping so the bottom image was inspired by that. The top one was just a random thangy thang. I hope you enjoy.

That's all for tonight...more to come this weeeek.

OH, Look out for a big dump of "Dooodlez" coming shortly.

More and More.

So trying to keep this steady posting going...lets see if this pans out ;)

I am using a couple different brush pens here and a really fine tip ink pen, if you care.

Catch up...

I seriously need to scan a good amount of drawings along with saving a bunch of sketches I've done digitally so I can post them. The more I slack on it, the more it takes me longer to gather the drawings... So hopefully this post will start snow balling...

Playing around with grey markers and a brush pen. I then drew the front of his face in photoshop. This may be modeled.

Cowboys vs Aliens.

Update! YAY! Here is my cowboy vs alien thang.

I thought it would be funny seeing these two characters meet for the first time and they both becoming aware of how similar they are...

Dooodle thingy.

The handsome Ian Abando and myself have started a collaborative sketch exercise where we rough in circles and fill it in. This first one I drew the torso (jacket and scarf), and Ian drew the head and legs (head, skirt, and legs). We call this fun little thing "DOOODLE"

This was our next attempt. We decided to do 4 circles so we both could draw two portions of the character. I drew the torso all the way down to the thigh Ian drew the head and shin/feet. We really didn't stay within the circles but this was more of a rough guide...more to come.

Character sketching.

Something new sort of... Just a character shape warm up. I find it hard to just leave a line drawing alone without adding some kind of texture somewhere, I just find it empty without a bit of grit. It can be a bit much sometimes, but I dunno....

A good amount of my vehicle designs are in that interview. I will find some time to put up a lot more here. :)
